Description
Bestwood Country Park lies just four miles from the centre of Nottingham. Its long history goes back as far as Medieval times when as Royal hunting grounds it extended to 3,711 acres though the current park covers just 690 acres. It was established in 1967 when the colliery closed, and is a popular destination for walkers, cyclists, nature lovers and people interested in the industrial heritage of the site.
The ancient woodland of Bestwood is revealed here through the seasons of the year in a stunning set of photographs by local photographer, Paul Binnion. 80pp
