Description
Until the early 20th century, Rufford Abbey was the hub of a large aristocratic estate which extended over 18,000 acres and included thirteen villages. There were several farms maanaged both by the estate and by tenants, together with hop yeards, woodlands and a brickyard.
This book draws on documents which until recently were not easily accessible and so it contains fresh information about both the estate and some of the Savile family members. 148pp, illus.
