Description
Newark Air Museum was one of the first aviation museums to be created in the UK. It is located on part of the former WW2 airfield of RAF Winthorpe and has a collection of over seventy aircraft and cockpit sections covering the history of aviation. The first airframe was secured in 1963 and the museum opened to the public in 1973. This tells the story of the museum from its beginnings in the 1960s to the present day. 148pp, illus.
