Description
This presents a comprehensive description of air raids in Nottinghamshire during the Second World War (1939-45) and describes how civil defense workers were trained and prepared for air raids. This second edition includes updated information that had not been uncovered when the book was first published in 2009. Additional chapters have been added, including one about the creation of the Firefighters’ Memorial in Nottingham and another on the closure of the Central Fire Station. In addition to the old b/w photos there are numerous new colour photos. 226pp
