Sneinton People

Interviews with residents in the 1980s.

Nearly 40 years ago, Dave Ablitt chose seven local residents in Sneinton to interview for the Sneinton Magazine and these interviews are reproduced here - conversations with the vicar of St.Stephen's church, a forestry worker who was National President of the Agricultural Workers' Union, a reformed alcoholic and drug addict who had become an officer of the Salvation Army, a veteran of the First World War, a refugee Iranian couple and the patriarch of a family of successful scrap dealers. 52pp
