Interviews with residents in the 1980s.
Nearly 40 years ago, Dave Ablitt chose seven local residents in Sneinton to interview for the Sneinton Magazine and these interviews are reproduced here – conversations with the vicar of St.Stephen’s church, a forestry worker who was National President of the Agricultural Workers’ Union, a reformed alcoholic and drug addict who had become an officer of the Salvation Army, a veteran of the First World War, a refugee Iranian couple and the patriarch of a family of successful scrap dealers. 52pp
