Sir Stephen Glynne (1807-1874) was the 9th baronet of Hawarden Castle, near Chester,  He early on developed a passion for visiting churches and  castles and between 1825 and 1874 visited over 130 churches in Nottinghamshire.  His notes on these churchs have been collected together in this volume, some illustrated with modern photographs.  There is also a useful glossary of architectural terms.  104pp
