Description
This contains four essays on the various banks which operated within Nottinghamshire from the 18th century until they went out of existence, the earliest being Smiths’ of Nottingham and the last to survive, the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Banking Company. Particular attention is given to Pocklinton, Dickinson & Co, Cook & Co. and Hornby, Esdaile and Clay.
