Description
There were cricketing rebels in the 18th century and there are still those today who protest against one or other of cricket’s Laws or against pay and conditions. This tells their stories, but also provides an account of the changing social scene out of which different acts of rebellion came.
Several of these “rebellions” involved Nottinghamshire cricketers e.g. Arthur Shrewsbury, Billy Barnes, Tom Wass, Harold Lawood, A.W.Carr. 211pp
