Description
Photojournalist Peter Richardson visited and photographed the community of St Ann’s in the 1960s/early 1970s before it was broken up and people rehoused in newer, modern homes. There is no commentary with the images, but reflections and poetry are added throughout, contributed by former residents. This book allows an extraordinary glimpse into how many people lived, not just in St.Ann’s, but in the thousands of similar areas that then existed throughout the country. 116pp. b/w photographs
