Haiku is a form of Japanese verse which consists of three lines which rarely rhyme. Their aim is to evoke allusions and comparisons, frequently on the subject of nature and the seasons. Here the author has written a haiku poem for every day of the year 2013 based on observations of life and conditions in and around the Ashfield area of Nottinghamshire. The volume is beautifully illustrated with colour pictures by John Suggett.
